Abstract

Draftsman, cartoonist, performer, art director and technology Otávio Donasci is known for his video-creatures. In this interview the artist share with the reader how surprises and prejudices experienced by inventors, who is dedicated to the manufacture of his works. He discusses his career in theater, his interest in cabaret and variety shows, and other attractions notorious for their humor, which is so evident in the burlesque video-creatures, that premiered in Campos do Jordão as part of renowned Hans-Joachim Koellreutter's team, who was himself an atonal composer and creator of Música Viva. Donasci's fruitful career witnesses changes in art, such as the central place given to the body and performance. His experiments, work and verbal discourse embody an archeology of art and its relations with technology and the marketplace.

Professora Livre Docente na Escola de Comunicações e Artes, no Curso Superior do Audiovisual da Universidade de São Paulo. USP.Mestre em Comunicação Social pela UFRJ e doutora em Comunicação e Semiótica pela PUC/SP. Dirigiu documentários e ensaios experimentais, conquistando prêmios nacionais e internacionais. Coordenou a coleção de livros do CINUSP, editando dois volumes. Organizou pela Intermeios Cinema Apesar da Imagem (com Marcus Bastos e Gabriel Menotti, 2016) e pela Iluminuras Cinemas Transversais (2016). Pesquisa trabalhos experimentais com ênfase na intersemiose dos meios, logo, abrangem o cruzamento de campos de criação.
