Reflections about Circus Dramaturgy Behind the Scenes: Circus, Theater, Music and Poetry

Abstract

In this article, dramaturgy is discussed, focusing on the circus area. Initially, the multiplicity impregnated in this field of performing arts is marked, and emphasized dialogues hybrids, revealing encounters and fusions with other artistic areas. A critical-descriptive analysis of Behind the scenes: circus, theater, music and poetry is carried out, a theatrical-circus show that highlights peculiarities in its dramaturgy, highlighting a practice that resides in the formation and in the experience of the artist who presents the work, bringing to the affectivities, memories and everyday situations of his life.

Cristina Alves de Macedo é artista, diretora e produtora na área de circo. Integra os grupos de pesquisa Núcleo de Estudos em Teatro Popular da UFBA e O circo e o riso da UNESP. Membro sócio efetivo da Associação Brasileira de Pesquisa e Pós-Graduação em Artes Cênicas - ABRACE. Assistente de edição da Revista Repertório do PPGAC/UFBA. Doutoranda no Programa de Pós-Graduação em Artes Cênicas da Universidade Federal da Bahia - PPGAC/UFBA, atua nos seguintes temas: Circo, Circo Contemporâneo, Circo-Teatro, Dramaturgia, Processos Criativos Censura, Análise do Discurso.
