This article, a synthesis of a lecture about the Teatro da Vertigem (Vertigo’s Theatre), discusses the interaction between Theatre in Schools and Contemporary Theatre. As such, it looks at the impact, at the level of reception, used to engage the public and/or students emotionally with theatre productions. It presents and questions the controversies around the reception of Apocalipse 1.11 (Apocalypse 1.11) and BR3, and points to works in schools which scenic conception share the assumptions of Vertigem (Vertigo).
