Traces of Dance in Basic Education at ANDA: Ongoing Processualities

Abstract

Drawing on the processuality of the cartographic method, this study follows the traces that traverse the debate on Dance in Basic Education, tracking, from 2008 to 2025, the lines of force and modes of action of the National Association of Dance Researchers (ANDA). The mapping reveals connections with public policies, universities, and social movements, highlighting the prominent role of women in its founding and the Dance in Educational Mediation Working Group as a space of resistance. Despite the exclusions imposed by reforms such as the BNCC and the New High School, Dance persists as a field of struggle and re-existence. ANDA emerges as a territory in motion, where political and poetic gestures intertwine.
