This dance/educational writing aims to understand the Dance Course in Education, mediated by Maria Fux at Escolinha de Arte do Recife, in 1975. In this way, we organize it into two expressive movements, titled as: (1) Historical perspective of the Escolinha de Arte do Recife and (2) Dance in Education Course at EAR. Based on the data investigated, we realized that until now Fux has was one of the main responsible for designing Dance and its teaching in formal education - based on empiricist premises, in Recife. Even so, the aforementioned course taught by Fux anticipates the Artistic Education course at the Federal University of Pernambuco, which opened in 1976, established by Law 5,694/1971.
