The text presents the trajectory of the artist Mona Rikumbi. Black woman, mother, from African religions, wheelchair-bound, elderly: she is the daughter of the sun. The intersectionalities between blackness and disability are striking points in the artist's speech, revealing aspects of the experience of a black body in the field of performing arts in Brazil. Based on an interview with Mona Rikumbi, we share a discussion about black theater and accessibility as a way of fighting against racist, ableist and European norms and conceptions that for a long time determined the direction of theater in our country.
