Abstract

We present a dialogue between two researchers, geographically distant but challenged by circus research and a deep commitment to create spaces for teaching and studying this art at their respective universities. We delve into their professional careers, learning more about their research and ways of working in the academic and artistic context.

Author Biography

Marco Antonio Coelho Bortoleto, Universidade Estadual de Campinas - UNICAMP, Campinas/SP, Brasil.

Graduado em Educação Física UNIMEP, Mestrado em Educação Física UNICAMP e Doutorado em Geografia e História pela Universidade de Lleida na Espanha. Pós-doutorado pela Universidade de Lisboa (Portugal), Univ. Manitoba (Canadá) e Univ. da Concórdia (Canad´á). Atualmente é professor da Faculdade de Educação Física da Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP). Pesquisa na área do Circo, enfocando nas seguintes temáticas: pedagogia do circo, relações das atividades circenses com a educação física, formação de acrobatas, tecnologia e sociologia do circo.
