Abstract

In the interview, conducted remotely on October 21, 2022, Aleksandra Pluta talks about writing the biography The Two Lives of Yan Michalski. In the book, the author uses personal archives and testimonies to reconstruct the life of Yan Michalski (1931-1990) who, as well as being an actor, director, author, translator and teacher, was a key figure in Brazilian theater criticism. In the first part, the author brings to light details not yet known about the critic's life during his childhood and adolescence. In the second part, Pluta tells us about the critic's life in Brazil, a period in which he was part of the Tablado group, wrote for Jornal do Brasil and worked as a teacher.

Ana Paula Dessupoio Chaves, Universidade Federal de Juiz de Fora – UFJF, Juiz de Fora/MG, Brasil

Doutoranda em Comunicação na Universidade Federal de Juiz de Fora, na linha "Competência Midiática, Estética e Temporalidade". Mestra pelo Programa de Pós-graduação em Artes, Cultura e Linguagens na Universidade Federal de Juiz de Fora (2017). Especialista em Moda, Cultura de Moda e Arte pela Universidade Federal de Juiz de Fora (2014) e em História do Teatro Brasileiro e Ocidental pela Casa das Artes de Laranjeiras - CAL (2021). Graduada em Comunicação Social, bacharel em Jornalismo pelo Centro de Ensino Superior (2013). Atualmente é assessora de relações internacionais da Associação Brasileira de Pesquisadores de História da Mídia (ALCAR) e membro do Grupo de Pesquisa (CNPQ): "Comunicação, Cidade e Memória" da UFJF. Também atua como assistente editorial na Revista Lumina do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Comunicação da Universidade Federal de Juiz de Fora (PPGCOM/UFJF).

Possui mestrado (2001), doutorado em Comunicação e Cultura pela Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (2006) e pós-doutorado pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul (2017) É professora titular do Curso de Jornalismo da Faculdade de Comunicação da Universidade Federal de Juiz de Fora (UFJF). É professora permanente do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Comunicação da UFJF.
