Abstract

The manifesto-essay present here is a loving and reflective letter where I discuss my way of working, my way of faggot existence and my way of making art with an aesthetic linked to buffoonery and burlesque. This manifesto also acts as a record of a time in Belo Horizonte, when we presented the show “Sonoridades Obscânicas”, by the group ObsCENA, that worked with urban interventions, masking, buffoonery. A manifesto letter that retraces the journey of a cabaret that proposes and remakes performances in contemporary times, in a way that also exposes, during this same process, my unique instauration of “AdivinhaaDiva”, a buffoon-cyborg-faggot.
