Abstract

This work aims to discuss fiction and non-fiction in Divórcio (2013), by the Brazilian writer Ricardo Lísias. The book deals with the divorce of a writer called Ricardo Lísias who discovers that he was betrayed during the coverage of the Cannes festival in 2011. Divórcio is a novel that shows some of the main tendencies of contemporary literature which are based on convergence of identities among the author and character and the fictional reconstruction of memories. Thus, considering controversial issues such as adultery and questions of Journalism ethics, it is investigated here the autofictional genre of the book and the complexity in delimitating fiction and non-fiction into the text.
