Abstract

The article discusses how linguistic theories are addressed in the curriculum of the degree in Portuguese and Portuguese Language Literatures at xxxxx, reflecting on the relationship between theory, analysis and teaching practice in the components focused on the study of grammar. It is clear that the course curriculum is innovative in several aspects, taking into account the social and educational reality of its region. However, treatment of linguistic theories is still quite traditional and often disconnected from the phenomena they aim to explain. In the components of grammar, theories are presupposed, but there is no time to revisit them, articulating them with linguistic analysis and teaching practice. The requirements imposed by curricular guidelines also contribute to making this articulation difficult.
