Considerações sobre o Novo Marco Regulatório da Educação a Distância no Brasil e a Integração da IA

Abstract

This article analyzes the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into teaching and scientific research in light of the new regulatory framework for Distance Education (DE) in Brazil, established by Decree No. 12,456 of May 19, 2025. Based on the characterization of in-person, blended, and distance learning modalities, the article discusses the pedagogical, ethical, and technological implications of AI use, highlighting the irreplaceable role of teachers, student assessment, and the challenges related to equity and digital inclusion. The article also examines the application of AI, highlighting both its potential for support and the risks of uncritical use.
