Abstract

The article offers a philosophical and educational reflection on computing as a civilizational agent, moving beyond the instrumental view of technology. It argues that computing shapes subjectivities, reorganises social practices, and redefines ways of knowing and communicating. It criticises the industrial-era educational model, based on standardisation and fragmented knowledge, as inadequate for 21st-century challenges. Drawing on thinkers such as Heidegger, Simondon, and Stiegler, the article advocates for the critical integration of technology into culture. Contemporary alienation stems from ignorance about the essence of technical objects, whose understanding requires a more complex and up-to-date philosophical and educational approach.
