Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • A contribuição é original e inédita, e não está sendo avaliada para publicação por outra revista; caso contrário, deve-se justificar em "Comentários ao editor".
  • O arquivo da submissão está em formato Microsoft Word, OpenOffice ou RTF.
  • URLs para as referências foram informadas quando possível.
  • O texto está em espaço 1,5; usa uma fonte de 12 pontos; emprega itálico em vez de sublinhado (exceto em endereços URL); as figuras e tabelas estão inseridas no texto, não no final do documento na forma de anexos.
  • O texto segue os padrões de estilo e requisitos bibliográficos descritos em Diretrizes para Autores, na página Sobre a Revista.
  • Em caso de submissão a uma seção com avaliação pelos pares (ex.: artigos), as instruções disponíveis em Assegurando a avaliação pelos pares cega foram seguidas.
  • Livros a serem resenhados devem ser remetidos, por correio postal, a uma das redações, em:

Author Guidelines

FOLHA DE ESTILOS

As colaborações a Brasil/Brazil deverão ser encaminhadas ao site, em Word, corpo 12, espaço 1,5, observando o seguinte formato:

(1) Para a seção ENSAIOS, apresentar o título e eventual subtítulo, nome do Autor e instituição a que pertence, seguido de abstract em inglês e resumo em português e palavras-chave nas duas línguas. Inserir as notas no rodapé e as referências ao final, sob o subtítulo REFERÊNCIAS. Marcar as primeiras no texto com números elevados e as segundas entre parênteses, com o sobrenome do Autor em minúsculas, quando não foi mencionado antes, e o número da página. Apresentar citações de mais de quatro linhas em bloco separado e recuado pelo parágrafo, em corpo 10, entrelinha 10. Poemas também seguem a mesma formatação.

(2) Para a seção LITERATURA —que inclui inéditos em português, textos traduzidos para o inglês ou entrevistas com escritores - apresentar o título, o Autor e breve informação biográfica. No caso de traduções, citar o nome do tradutor e sua instituição, mencionando, no final, a fonte utilizada, com a referência completa. No caso de entrevistas, fazer constar o nome do entrevistado e um subtítulo que abarque o assunto, o nome do entrevistador, a instituição a que pertence e um pequeno texto introdutório sobre as circunstâncias da entrevista. As perguntas e respostas devem ser antecedidas de duas iniciais maiúsculas que identifiquem o entrevistador e o entrevistado.

(3) Para a seção RESENHAS, iniciar com a referência do texto resenhado, em negrito, incluindo o número de páginas. Não utilizar epígrafes ou subtítulos. Assinar no final, informando a instituição do resenhista.

(4) Indicar todas as referências, seja no texto, nas notas ou nos trabalhos citados, segundo a norma técnica da ABNT, para textos brasileiros, e segundo a norma da MLA, para textos estrangeiros.

STYLE SHEET FOR SUBMISSIONS TO BRASIL/BRAZIL

All submissions to Brasil/Brazil should be sent to the site, in Word for Windows,12/1,5, observing the following format:

(1) For the section titled ESSAYS, provide the title and subtitle, the author's name and home institution, plus abstract in English and Portuguese and keywords. Place notes as footnotes, and bibliography under the subtitle REFERENCES at the end of the text. Within the text, place the numbers of the notes above the line and the titles in parenthesis with the author's last name when not previously cited, plus the number of the page. Place quotes of more than four lines in a separated indented block, size 10/10, aligned with the paragraph. Poems are formatted the same way.

(2) For the section titled LITERATURE - which includes unpublished texts in Portuguese, texts translated into English or interviews with writers -, in the case of literary texts, place the title, the author and a brief biographic note; in the case of translations, place the name of the translator. At the close of the texts in translation, cite the source used for the translation, with the complete reference. In the case of interviews, record the name of the interviewee and a subtitle reflecting the topic of the interview, the name of the interviewer and his/her home institution, along with an short introductory statement describing the context of the interview. Include within the text the questions and answers preceded by the initials, in caps, of the interviewee and the interviewer.

(3) For the section titled REVIEWS, begin with the full reference of the text under review, in bold, including the number of pages. Do not use epigraphs or subtitles. Place the name and home institution of the reviewer at the close of the review.

(4) Provide all references, either within the text, the notes or the works cited, according to the technical format of the ABNT, for Brazilian submissions, and according to the MLA format for submissions from other countries.

 

SOBRE O USO DE INTELIGÊNCIA ARTIFICIAL

Está vedado o uso de ferramentas de inteligência artificial generativa para a escrita e avaliação dos escritos. Ao submeterem um texto para avaliação, os autores declaram que sua produção está livre do uso dessa ferramenta, pois textos produzidos com o uso de IA não são originais e, portanto, estão em desacordo com as diretrizes de publicação. 

O eventual uso de IA — na revisão, preparação de referências, revisão bibliográfica, traduções, transcrições etc. — deve ser declarado pelos autores na seção “Comentários para o Editor” e em nota de rodapé na primeira página do texto.
