Abstract

 Throughout history, dances have evolved as a reflection of the cultural processes of each era. In this sense, the research in Rio Grande/RS investigates the subjective fabrics of dance, focusing especially on women's memories and the associated socio-political issues. Above all, it highlights the crucial role played by women in the construction of ballet in the city. Thus, through interviews and analysis of historical records, the research seeks to expand knowledge in the field of dance, thus encouraging future research on the subject. Furthermore, this article is an excerpt from a thesis that is still in progress.
