Promoting Circular Economy in Companies through Eco-innovation and Sustainable Business Strategies: Procedure and Application

The term innovation has gained significant traction in recent years, primarily due to the popularization of the internet and the increased demand for rapid response in the globalized world. Building upon this, the concept of “Eco-innovation” has emerged, aiming to transform production methods and promote economic development while considering environmental issues and planetary limits. The objective of this study was to propose a circular business model for a small-scale stamping and tooling company. Analyses of the company's organizational and maturity levels were conducted to examine the current model and suggest a future scenario. Consequently, it was possible to enhance the company's circularity indicator by 9.5% by proposing short-term improvements outlined in the study, allowing for even greater gains through long-term strategies.
