Abstract

This article reports the results of the “Sem tekoa não há teko, sem terra não há cultura: estudo e desenvolvimento auto-sustentável de comunidades indígenas guarani” project. It was carried out by UNISUL (University of the South of Santa Catarina) and by UFSC (Federal University of Santa Catarina) from March, 2002 through December, 2007, and aimed at promoting economic modes appropriate for the ethnodevelopment and auto sustainability of the guarani land at the coast of the state of Santa Catarina, a measure compatible with teko, that is, the way of beeing, the guarani culture.
