This article portrays a research that intended to relate the experiences enunciated by the indigenous graduates and by the course coordinator to identify the presence (or not) of Ethnomathematics, that is, to verify the limits and perspectives of the Teko Arandu course, for the Training of Indigenous Teachers. With regard to methodological aspects, we used qualitative research with a descriptive-analytical character. For that, we conducted semi-structured interviews with indigenous graduates and the course coordinator Teko Arandu from the Federal University of Grande Dourados (UFGD). Although with some limitations, it was possible to show that Ethnomathematics and Critical Interculturality are present in the course project. However, based on the interviews, we cannot say to what extent this perspective is realized. In addition, the indigenous teachers who graduated from the course believe that it is easier to teach mathematical knowledge because they are speakers of the Guarani language.
