Justice and encounter: the Earth Charter in a Buberian perspective - Abstract: This paper discusses the Earth Charter based on the thought of Martin Buber, a Jewish philosopher. It is claimed that such document should be understood through the connections between justice and encounter, between justice’s duties of human beings related to the non-human nature, to other human beings and to the Eternal and theencounter between Me and Thou, such that Me is the human being and Thou is any of the mentioned above.
