Abstract

The article deals with the urban imaginaries of Porto Alegre, the invisibility of the blacks as historical subjects who built this city, but who are not represented on its urban imaginaries, strongly marked by European immigration and exalted from it.

Helena Bonetto é Licenciada em Ciências Sociaispela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul – UFRGS (2009) e Mestre em Geografia pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul - UFRGS (2013) e Doutora (2018) -UFRGS.

Aborda em suas pesquisas periferia, práticas socioespaciais, lugares topofílicos e topofóbicos, memória, imaginários urbanos, invibilidades e métodos qualitativos de pesquisa.
