Da Alfarda ao Pão Crioulo: O imigrante judeu em duas obras de César Tiempo
Resumo
Neste trabalho, abordamos as obras Alfarda (1935) e Pão Crioulo (1937), do escritor judeu-argentino César Tiempo, que problematizam o conflito da integração dos imigrantes judeus na Argentina, retratando sua dificuldade para conseguir um equilíbrio entre aceitar os novos costumes e ideias, mas sem abandonar os próprios. As diferenças entre gerações, o casamento misto e o enfraquecimento dos vínculos intergrupais na geração dos filhos são alguns dos temas sobre os quais reflete César Tiempo nas obras que abordaremos.
From Alfarda to Pan Criollo: the Jewish immigrant in two plays by Cesar Tiempo - Abstract: In this paper we analize the plays Alfarda (1935) and Pan Criollo (1937 ) by the Jewish-Argentine writer Cesar Tiempo which problematize the integrational conflict of Jewish immigrants in Argentina, reflecting their difficulty to achieve a balance between the acceptation of new customs and ideas without abandoning their own. Generational differences, inter-religion marriage and the weakening of the ingroup ties in the generation of children are some of the topics of Cesar Tiempo’s plays on which we’re going to focus.
