Depois de um encontro promissor: reflexões de Robert Musil dois anos após um encontro com Carl Schmitt
Resumo
O presente artigo tem por objetivo apresentar a tradução do ensaio Bedenken eines Langsamen (Ponderações e Reservas de um Homem Lento), escrito por Robert Musil em 1933. Para tanto, para fins de contextualização, o pensamento de Musil contra os regimes totalitários (como nazismo e fascismo) é discutido à luz do encontro que o escritor teve, em 1930, com Carl Schmitt, o filósofo, jurista e teórico político cujo ideário teria embasado e legitimado a ditadura nazista através das Leis de Nuremberg.
After a promising meeting: reflexions of Robert Musil two years after meeting Carl Schmitt - Abstract: This article aims at presenting a translation of the essay Bedenken eines Langsamen (Concerns of a Slow Man), written by Robert Musil in 1933. Therefore, for the sake of contextualization, the thought of Musil against totalitarian regimes (such as Nazism and Fascism) is discussed in light of the meeting that the writer had in 1930 with Carl Schmitt, the philosopher, jurist and political theorist whose ideas have cemented and legitimized the Nazi dictatorship through the Nuremberg Laws.
