Elogio à liberdade e à resistência: Comemorações do Levante do Gueto de Varsóvia em Porto Alegre
Resumo
O presente artigo visa resgatar as comemorações do Levante do Gueto de Varsóvia em Porto Alegre entre 1950 e 1969, dever que foi cumprido com entusiasmo e dedicação em vários espaços e de diversas formas. Depois de uma breve contextualização e com base na teoria gramsciana, pretendemos compreender e analisar as formas pelas quais o grupo judeu-progressista de Porto Alegre buscou a direção intelectual e moral da comunidade judaica nesta capital, bem como a universalização de um significado do Levante do Gueto de Varsóvia enquanto marco da luta pela liberdade.
A praise to freedom and resistance: celebrating the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising in Porto Alegre - Abstract: This article aims to rescue the commemoration of the Warsaw Ghetto uprising in Porto Alegre between 1950 and 1969, duty that was conducted with enthusiasm and dedication in various spaces and in a variety of ways. After a brief contextualization and based on the Gramscian theory, we seek to understand and analyze the ways in which the progressive Jewish Group of Porto Alegre sought the intellectual and moral direction of the Jewish community in this capital, as well as an universal meaning for the Warsaw Ghetto uprising as a mark of the struggle for freedom.
