Diário da Queda: a força da transmissão entre gerações e a transgeracionalidade
Resumo
O trabalho focaliza a força da transmissão de valores entre as gerações exposta no livro Diário da Queda, do autor gaúcho Michel Laub. As feridas psicológicas, os segredos não revelados e as atitudes negativas em relação ao “diferente” e ao “outro” ocorrem ao longo das três gerações enfocadas pelo narrador – o avô, um sobrevivente do campo de concentração; o pai, um negociante bem sucedido; e o filho, o personagem que conta a história. Os traumas familiares são transmitidos de uma geração para a outra, culminando com a prática do bullying pelos rapazes judeus contra João, o rapaz não judeu da turma.
Diary of the Fall: the power of the transmission between generations and the transgenerationality of trauma - Abstract: The paper focuses on the strength of the transmission of values between generations in the book called Diary of the Fall, by Michel Laub. The psychological wounds, unrevealed secrets and negative attitudes toward “the different” and “the other” occur throughout the three generations focused by the narrator – the grandfather, a survivor of the concentration camp; his father, a successful businessman; and the son, the character who tells the story. The family traumas are transmitted from one generation to the next, culminating with the practice of bullying by the Jewish boys against the non-Jewish boy in the class.
