Romance e Política na Literatura Hebraica
Resumo
Resumo: Mesmo desde antes de sua criação, e até os dias de hoje, o Estado de Israel tem sido palco de intensas disputas políticas. Questões como a diáspora, a condição judaica, o relacionamento com os vizinhos árabes, o chamado “pós-sionismo”, entre tantas outras, têm alimentado vivos debates no Knesset e na imprensa, além de tecer o pano de fundo para uma rica atividade literária. O objetivo deste artigo é apresentar um panoramada moderna literatura israelense, através da análise de romances ou contos de autoria de seus mais importantes ficcionistas, com tradução brasileira, selecionados pela presença, em suas narrativas, das questões políticas mais urgentes do cenário nacional israelense.
Fiction and Politics in Israeli Literature - Abstract: Even since before its inception, and until this day, the State of Israel has been the scene of intense political wrangling. Issues such as the Diaspora, the Jewish condition, the relationship with its Arab neighbors, the so-called “post-Zionism”, among many others, have fueled heated debates in the Knesset and in the press, and weave the backdrop for a rich literary activity. The objective of this paper is to present an overview of the modern Israeli literature, through analysis of novels and short stories written by its most important fictionists, with Brazilian translation, selected by the presence, in their narratives, of the most pressing political issues of the Israeli national scene.
