Resumo
O trabalho consiste na análise de contos do escritor israelense contemporâneo Etgar Keret, com enfoque em seus motivos recorrentes e abordando seus personagens sob o ponto de vista da tomada de decisões resultante do livre arbítrio. Embora a obra de Keret apresente a realidade e personagens israelenses, a abordagem de temas universais faz com que ultrapasse as fronteiras da regionalidade literária e seu cânone, atingindo a universalidade.
Etgar Keret, a contemporary Israeli writer - Abstract: This article aims at analyzing short stories by Israeli contemporary writer Etgar Keret, with a focus on its recurring motifs and approaching its characters under the viewpoint of the decision making resulting from free will. Although Keret’s work presents Israeli reality and characters, the approach of universal themes surpasses the borders of literary regionality and its canon, reaching universality.
