Abstract

In the 2003/2004 season there was the presence and attack of Physocleora dimidiaria (Guenée) (Lepidoptera: Geometridae) in apple orchards of the city of Vacaria, RS, damaging leaves and fruits of apple trees. Large number of larvae and adults was collected collected in February and March 2004, a period with low application of insecticides in orchards. Bioecology known to this species in apple and establish methods of monitoring and control are important to improve the integrated management of this pest.
