Abstract

In Lost children archive: a novel (2019), by Valéria Luiselli, the plot focuses on the characters' trajectory on the road, during their travels, as it is characteristic of the road novel. However, unlike road narratives in general, Luiselli promotes a break with traditional forms by putting on stage a family (father, mother, children) in a car; and, across the family path, the forced displacement (immigration). Thus, based on studies by Bauman (2017), Chimamanda (2019), Schmid (2019), among others, the objective of this article is to understand how displacement is represented in the work.
