MAURA LOPES CANÇADO E O FEMININO, A LOUCURA E A ESCRITA COMO RESISTÊNCIA

Resumo

Resumo: A escritora Maura Lopes Cançado seria exemplo de uma dupla marginalidade, ou melhor, de um quadro de diferenças que foram e são negadas pela normatização social – ou seja, por ser mulher, por ser divorciada (em meados dos anos 1940-50) e por escrever a partir dos muros de uma instituição manicomial, ela permaneceu e permanece proscrita. Como louca e como mulher, sua voz se configuraria como algo dissonante, mas, sobretudo, ela se caracteriza como uma voz de resistência.

Abstract: The writer Maura Lopes Cançado would be an example of a double marginality, or rather, of a framework of differences that were and are denied by social normatization - that is, for being a woman, for being divorced (in the mid-1940s-50s), and for writing from the walls of a mental institution, she remained and remains an outcast. As a madwoman and as a woman, her voice would be configured as something dissonant, but, above all, she is characterized as a voice of resistance.
