“SEXTOU”, DE GEOVANI MARTINS, OU POR UMA ESTÉTICA DA CORRERIA

Resumo

Resumo: O artigo analisa o conto “Sextou”, de Geovani Martins, tendo como horizonte a condição socioeconômica do narrador e seu difícil trânsito pelas esferas do trabalho. Para tanto, recorre, em especial, ao filósofo sul-coreano Byung-Chul Han, que permite situá-lo no âmbito das multitarefas, no qual termos como natureza, vontade, competências e habilidades não encontram eco. A narrativa de Martins, constata-se, apresenta uma história de vida em que as forças de poder agem negativamente sobre o sujeito, inserindo-o em um espaço de opressão, de vulnerabilidade, de falta de perspectivas. Dessa maneira, denuncia as mazelas da sociedade brasileira contemporânea.

Abstract: The article analyzes “Sextou,” a short story by Geovani Martins, bearing in mind the narrator’s socio-economic status and his work-related hardships. To do so, it resorts, in particular, to the South Korean philosopher Byung-Chul Han, the author that allows it to be placed in the context of multitasking, where terms such as nature, will, competencies, and skills do not echo. Martins’s narrative, it turns out, presents the story of a life in which power forces act negatively over persons, putting them in a place of oppression, vulnerability, and lack of expectations. Thus, the essay denounces some ills in the present Brazilian society.
