INFERNO PROVISÓRIO: VIOLÊNCIA NAS RELAÇÕES SOCIAIS

Resumo

Resumo: Este artigo se propõe a analisar a maneira como Inferno provisório, de Luiz Ruffato, expõe a violência em suas mais variadas formas, visíveis a partir de relações sociais em que a exploração, a injustiça social e a exclusão se manifestam. Ao evidenciar o percurso do proletariado brasileiro, que progressivamente toma forma, o romance assinala o esboroamento da agricultura de subsistência e a solidificação do período pós-industrial, principalmente a partir da segunda metade do século XX. Ao mesmo tempo que projeta luz sobre a fragmentação das famílias na zona rural, Inferno provisório traduz sonhos e frustrações, buscas e desistências da população jovem, que se dispersa por centros urbanos.

Abstract: This article aims to analyze the way as Inferno provisório, by Luiz Ruffato, exposes violence, in its most varied forms, visible from social relations in which the exploitation, the social injustice and the exclusion are manifested. By highlighting the route of Brazilian proletariat, which progressively takes shape, the novel marks the crumbling of subsistence agriculture and the solidification of the post-industrial period, especially from the second half of twentieth century. At same time as shedding light on the families’ fragmentations in the country side, Inferno provisório translates dreams and frustrations, searches and dropouts of young population, which is scattered throughout urban centers.
