EXPERIÊNCIAS DO GERONTÓLOGO COMO CONSULTOR SÊNIOR EM UM PROJETO DE QUALIFICAÇÃO DA ATENÇÃO OFERTADA À SAÚDE DA PESSOA IDOSA NA ATENÇÃO PRIMÁRIA DE SAÚDE

Resumo

The gerontologist professional has been developing skills and competencies with the purpose of managing and providing qualified health care to elderly people in different contexts. This work aims to describe the gerontologist's experiences as a senior consultant on a national extension project, as well as critically analyze his skills and competencies in developing the project. The writing is an experience report about the work of this professional in the project. It was observed that throughout his career, this professional developed skills and competencies related to professional qualification, communication, leadership, humanized care for different public health managers, a holistic view of different specificities, which are interconnected and which are important to qualify elderly people’s health care.
