A TÉCNICA E ESTÉTICA NOS ESTUDOS DE ARTE RUPESTRE
REFLEXÕES INICIAIS EM BUSCA DA AMPLIAÇÃO DOS INSTRUMENTOS DE ESTUDO
Abstract
The issue of pre-colonial graphics, the so-called rock art, has long been drawing the attention of researchers in different fields of knowledge, and Archeology, as a discipline, has been focusing on these studies. Several approaches have been developed to understand this cultural practice, from the innatists, through the typological ones, to the approach of the processes of making, as can be seen in Leroi-Gourhan (1983) and in Linke et al (2020). As a result, the issue of the techniques of elaboration and dispersion of these graphics has gained prominence, but with a tendency to put the aesthetic aspect of these works in the background. The present text intends to expose some necessary discussions about the need for confluence between the technical attributes, in its broader conception, with the aesthetic attributes, as indicated by Simondon (2007). For its disclosure, some sites researched in the Cariri Ocidental region of Paraíba will be addressed.
