Abstract

Durante os meses de julho e agosto de 2009, o HCPA priorizou cuidados voltados para a epidemia de gripe H1N1. Diversos casos de infecção respiratória grave em pacientes previamente hígidos exigiram ventilação mecânica prolongada. As imagens a seguir exemplificam a apresentação radiográfica inicial e tardia de casos suspeitos, cujas características em comum incluíram febre alta, tosse não produtiva e insuficiência ventilatória. A evolução clínica e radiológica foi lenta, e não foi identificado agente etiológico. Resultados de exames voltados para confirmação diagnóstica de H1N1 estão ainda pendentes.
