ESCUTA DICÓTICA, ORDENAÇÃO TEMPORAL E O PROCESSO DE ENVELHECIMENTO SAUDÁVEL

Resumo

Conhecer o efeito da perda funcional da capacidade de lidar com sons pode auxiliar na vigilância da saúde do idoso. O objetivo deste estudo foi investigar o efeito do envelhecimento em escuta dicótica e na ordenação temporal de tons breves e sucessivos em idosos cognitivamente adequados. Apesar da boa capacidade do reconhecimento de fala em ambientes acústicos ideias dos idosos, verificou-se em escuta dicótica uma vantagem da orelha direita atípica e presença de inabilidade importante na ordenação temporal que indicaram perda funcional da capacidade de lidar com sons.
