Memória e Narrado: experiências de um “agitador social”

Resumo

Este texto discorre sobre a memória como representativa da subjetividade e da identidade do sujeito. Para tanto, faz-se uma análise de narrativas de um morador do bairro Restinga, de Porto Alegre (RS), gravadas em vídeo, em que fica evidente o recurso à narrativa como meio de presentificar a memória e dar-lhe novas interpretações. Bachelard (2008, 1988), Benjamin (1994), Bergson (1990), Certeau (2002) e Ricouer (1994, 1997) constituem o referencial teórico a partir do qual é possível afirmar que memória e narrativa são conceitos interdependentes. Pela análise realizada, fica evidente que o acesso à memória é motivado pelo contato com os “rastros” (RICOUER, 1997) de experiências de vida e que a narrativa que resulta desse processo é altamente subjetiva.

Memory and Narrative: memories of a “social agitator”

Abstract

This text talks about memory as a representation of the subject’s subjectivity and identity. For this purpose, we make an analysis of the narratives of a resident of Restinga, a neighborhood of Porto Alegre (RS), recorded on video, in which the resort to narrative as a means to make memory present and give it new interpretations is evident. Bachelard (2008, 1988), Benjamin (1994), Bergson (1990), Certeau (2002) and Ricouer (1994, 1997) constitute the theoretical reference from which it is possible to state that memory and narrative are interdependent concepts. Through the analysis we have made, it becomes evident that the access to memory is triggered by the “traces” (RICOUER, 1997) of life experiences and that the narrative which results from this process is highly subjective.
